Introduce yourself….

My name is Lisa O’Brien and I am a sole trader, working in business operations. I started this sole adventure after ending an almost 2 decades long career in core banking, payments and commercial markets after deciding to take my career on a new path to support businesses scale and develop. I specialise in data analysis and process re-engineering, project management and managing competing priorities (the world of tools and methods is constantly evolving especially with the introduction of AI). To that effect - I am constantly learning new skills to keep on top of my own training and development. Currently I am undertaking a pathway in cyber security, exploring the defence side of security which I find really interesting as it covers networks, IT switches, routers and connections, before moving into more complex and technical concepts such as cloud computing including software and platform as a service.

Tell me more about your experience….

My experience in core banking including retail and business banking as a senior colleague, sets me up really well to provide colleague coaching, mentoring and team leadership. This and other services can be integrated into your business operations as a consultant or on a contract basis.

What are your 2025-2026 goals?

In the first year of business, it is crucial for me to build connections as well as my brand whilst learning and keeping abreast the current industry standards, techniques and methodologies. It will be an exciting but challenging year to ensure I achieve and stay on target.
